Introducing Obelaw Labs: Precision Tools for Laravel Artisans
We are excited to unveil Obelaw Labs, our dedicated workbench for high-quality, open-source Laravel packages. While building the Obelaw ecosystem, we often create tools that are useful well beyond our own stack. Labs is our way of sharing these precision tools with the broader Laravel community.
What is Obelaw Labs?
Obelaw Labs is a collection of standalone packages. Unlike components that are tightly coupled to a specific framework or CMS, these packages are designed to be dropped into any Laravel project to solve specific problems instantly.
Our philosophy is simple:
- Developer Experience First: Clean APIs and intuitive usage.
- Decoupled: No heavy dependencies on the Obelaw Stack.
- Production Ready: Built for real-world applications.
The Collection
We are launching with five powerful packages:
1. Attrify
Add dynamic EAV (Entity-Attribute-Value) attributes to any Eloquent model without altering your database schema. Perfect for products, user profiles, or any entity that needs flexible data storage. Explore Attrify
2. O-Configs
Move your configuration out of static files and into the database. O-Configs gives you a robust system for managing runtime settings, allowing administrators to tweak application behavior without a deployment. Explore O-Configs
3. Trail
Keep track of everything. Trail is a comprehensive activity logger that automatically records model events and custom user actions. It’s essential for audit logs and security monitoring. Explore Trail
4. Runner
Background jobs made simple. Runner provides a streamlined way to define, dispatch, and monitor background tasks and scheduled jobs, ensuring your application remains responsive. Explore Runner
5. RewardZone
Boost engagement with gamification. RewardZone is a flexible engine for managing points, achievements, and rewards, helping you build a loyal and active user base. Explore RewardZone
